Setting Up 2FA and Understanding Basic Account Configuration Items

Setting Up 2FA for Your Account
Please download Google Authenticator on your mobile device.
Once you’ve downloaded and installed Google Authenticator, return to the Hibit website. Click your username in the upper-right corner, and from the drop-down menu, select Settings. By default, you’ll be taken to the Configuration and Security page.
At the bottom of the page, you’ll see Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)—this is what we are going to set up. Click the button, and a window will pop up.
Open Google Authenticator on your mobile device and scan the QR code that appears in the pop-up window. After scanning, you will be redirected to the homepage. Enter the six-digit verification code from Google Authenticator into the field, and your 2FA setup will be complete!
Now that you’ve successfully set up 2FA, you can log out of your account and log back in. This time, you’ll need to enter two passwords: one is your account password, and the other is the six-digit code from Google Authenticator.
Basic Configuration
Now let’s take a look at the other configuration options on the Configuration and Security page!
- Your Profile (Username, Email) is displayed in the top-left corner of the first row.
- On the right side of the first row, you can change your preferred Language. The website supports both Chinese and English.
In the second row:
- On the left, you can modify the Theme of the Hibit website. There are two options: Light and Dark.
- On the right, you’ll find Email Settings:
- Order Emails: If enabled, we will send an email to your inbox each time you create a new order.
- Login Emails: If enabled, we will send an email titled Authenticated User to your inbox each time you log in to Hibit. The email will include your login IP address and the time.
These settings are designed to keep your account secure. If you notice any discrepancies in the information provided in these emails, please update your password immediately and contact our support team.
In the third row:
- On the right side, you can reset your Account Password. When you click Reset Password, we will send an email containing a reset link. Please click the link in the email and follow the instructions to reset your password.
